The rules of the game are simple. When you score well on a hole, you choose a card. Then at some point in the future, you play that card.
There are 3 types of cards in the game:
Green cards give the player something good, such as a mulligan or the chance to move their ball into the fairway.
Red cards give another player a penalty, such as not being able to use a driver or putting with one hand.
Blue cards affect gameplay, such as needing to give up a card or getting an extra card.
We're brothers who have been golfing together for the last 15 years.
On our yearly golf trip we decided to make a game that would make things a little more interesting and started brainstorming ideas. The result was Shanks! and we went through the process of designing, testing, and manufacturing the card game over the last two years.
